Malware is defined as malicious software. It can be caused by software programs that claim to be FREE but really are not, in the long run.  Some of these programs may inform you that your computer is infected after the so called FREE scan. After the scanning your computer's hard drive for several minutes and it will inform you that your computer is infected.

10 times out of 10 your computer is not infected. When you clicked YES, please scan my computer the Malware is actually loading malicious software onto your hard drive, which includes viruses, Trojan Horses, worms, Hijacks and all sorts of infected software. This can and will slow down your computer. It will bombarded your screen with warning messages telling you in order to clean your computer of this Malware you need to purchase this program. Has this happen to you? If so read on.

Malware Removal - How to Get Rid of Malware

*Do not purchase the product that the the ads are referring you to.

* Reboot your computer into Safe Mode with networking. Safe Mode can be accessed by pressing the F8 key after the Windows logo appears. Press the F8 several times, if you get a keyboard error this okay.

*Select the Safe Mode with Networking and log into the Administrator account. Go to the control panel and click on add/remove programs and remove the offending program. It may be something like Doctor Virus, Aniti-Virus 2009 or something that you do not recognize. You need to also remove any other FREE programs that have installed with out your knowledge.  Also look for any old versions of Norton or Live Update.  In some cases the offending program may not be listed. You should be able to get to the Internet.  Go to http://www.malwarebytes.org/, and download the FREE version.  Install, update and run perform a quick scan.  Remove any thing that is found.  Reboot your PC.

I have witnessed RegCure being a program that will allow many infections in. RegCure is suppose to fix issues with your register.  Any FREE program that claims to clean or protect your registry should be removed until you know your system is not infected.  I personally do not use or recommend any registery cleaner. Also if you have more than one Anti-Virus or Anti-Spyware installed this can cause Malware to infect your computer. - Remove any old Norton Anti-Virus program that is not currently active. I have seen multiple infections caused by a inactive or out dated Norton Anti-Virus software.

- Purchase a reliable Malware removal program that provides removal and online protection.

Here is the best one on the market.  http://www.malwarebytes.org/
